Hi E7...I hope your time with family and friends has been peaceful and fun.  As you all know the recent weeks in our area have had so many shocks to our collective minds and hearts.  I am referring specifically to the tragedy at the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Since part of our purpose in this course is to explore contemporary issues, I believe this may be worth our attention and discussion.  Please follow the link that follows and read the response from the National Rifle Association (NRA).  Post your thoughts about their proposal.  Please clearly state your opinion either in favor or against. You are asked to take a position and explain your choice based on the article you will read.  You may also draw on personal experience to support your ideas.
